Day 6, November 18, 2006
We got up this morning and got ready to check out of the hotel. We left the hotel and went to the Dragon well Green Tea center. We got a lesson on how tea is grown and picked; the first picking in the spring is called the Emperors blend. This was due to the fact that the emperor got the first picking and no one else was allowed to have any. We bought 2 emperors blend and 2 daughters pick blend, the daughters blend tea is the second picking of the tea. Of course the tea was excellent and we have plenty to drink, very expensive this was.
After leaving the tea center we went for a boat ride on the West lake, which had pagodas built around the lake.
We had lunch then went to the Lingyin Temple, a Buddhist temple. The size of the temple was huge; the Buddhist statue in one of the buildings was just big. Of course it had started raining before we got to the temple and it continued to rain after we where done. When the rain started we bought a umbrella for 10 Yuan, about a buck and a quarter.
We went back to the hotel to pick up one of the travelers that was sick and got back on the road to head for Shanghai. It rained almost all the way to Shanghai. We arrived in Shanghai had dinner and then proceeded to the hotel to check in. What a let down the hotel is, the last one had a much better room and had Internet access in the room. This one the room is small and no Internet access, and this is a 5 star hotel.
Going to get a massage.
Went to get the massage and they sent in a young girl, in her 20’s and I talked to her and let her know I was not interested in getting a massage from a young girl. She asked me if I sleep with guys and I said yes, she then left and a few minutes later a young man came in and his name was Han. He gave me a very nice all body massage, but I had asked him to take off his shirt he would not. I could have had a “sex” massage in Beijing if I had known about the massage before we left. Han was a very good looking 23 year old man, soon to be married, would have liked to see him without his shirt….
Well after my massage I went back to the room to get some sleep, what a day.
